Kawasaki KE100 information

Launched in 1975 for the ever more popular trail bike market, especially in North America The KE100 produced 11bhp @ 7000rpm, with a surprising amount of mid range pulling power. The power delivery made this lightweight 101kg machine pretty good over the rough stuff, a five-speed overdrive fifth also making it pleasant for tarmac use with a 100kph top speed.

As with many off-road machines from the 1970’s these are keenly sought by collectors and Kawasaki enthusiasts, their second hand values reflecting an upward trend.

As the machine went on being produced into the 1990’s, the engine sadly became more emasculated, losing that exiting power surge so enjoyable in highly tuned two strokes, but even the last models were still excellent dual purpose machines.
