Honda XL200 information

Introduced in 1983 and continued through to 1984, the kind of machine that affluent North Americans would have in their garage even if they didn’t need one.

The basic power-plant had been available in varying displacements for years, and although its simplicity and durability are nearly without equal, it's never been well known for pumping out lots of power, but the single overhead camshaft design was still able to push this 124kg machine to 80mph.

It took over nicely where the XL185 left off, although competition was fierce with the Yamaha XT200, with similar performance was less expensive to buy at that time.

Another lightweight trail bike from Honda that was frequently bought to hang off the back of a camper, and some of those original purchases out lasting the camper vans they were bought for, the same old XL hanging off a new Camper, but they are Honda’s, what else would you expect!
