Hi Pierre-Jean,

Did you check these partslists?
There are two different TLR's online:

Luck You Jean!

You can get that bulb from this link:
http://www.francelampes.com/pro/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=10228&language=en

You have to take your old bulb apart, then solder in the new bulb. It will save you a fortune!

I'm not so lucky. That 20mm bulb costs about $5.00 US, but the shipping from France is $35.00! I can get the assembly here for about $50.00

Happy trails,
Opie

I found a source in the USA:

http://www.interlight.biz/moreinfo.int?itemno=O-7324

It's an Osram-7324 bulb that they solder into the round headlight (on my XL185S).

Looks like the proceedure is thus:
1. release crimped ring around lens (I'll cut mine with a Dremmel), remove lens
2. measure depth of filaments to base of reflector
3. desolder old bulb and slip out
4. insert new bulb so filament is exact depth and oriented the same horizontal (you can see filament highly magnified in reflector from 5 feet away when filament is as at prime focus)
5. solder bulb to reflector
6. solder wires to bulb
7. install and test

i am going to try this on my 1987 185 xl and i really want to install a socket in instead of just a straight light bulb was wondering if you knew where to get a socket in canada or the states ( can but dont really want to make one
