The follow on for the CM250, the more radically styled CMX 250 ‘Rebel’ was first launched in 1985, and that raked look ‘chopper’ styling won over a new generation of novice riders although it was priced rather high compared to it’s competition, it’s build quality and smooth counterbalanced parallel twin engine ensured good sales throughout it’s long run. Performance was lack lustre with just 18.5bhp, but it was good for eighty mph, and could hold that speed all day without fuss.
Many attractive colour schemes ensured that ‘easy Rider’ styling stayed fresh, and the second hand residuals are very healthy, and make a superb low depreciating second hand bet for good well maintained models that have not been butchered by previous owners!
