When overhauling the cylinder-head assembly, replacing as many of the wear items as possible will simplify the reassembly and subsequent adjustments required to set up the valve gear correctly. The most vital items include valve guides, valves, retention collets (14781107003), seats and valve springs.
While the head is removed take the time to inspect the camshaft lobes for wear or pitting, the cam-chain tensioners and guides and, obviously the cam-chain and sprockets as well.
