Burt Kaufman: Headlight Bulb w/Lens Needed

I have a 1978 CB400A, 11,000 miles more or less, that needs a NEW headlight. I want to install a seperate reflector and/or lens and bulb, from SOME model, even if it is not a Honda. I have the sealed beam that Honda laughingly calls a headlight and 35 Watts is NOT sufficient. Further, it is expensive and you cannot carry a spare. What I need to know is what machine has a headlight bucket that accomodates a replaceable bulb, and will also fit between the front turn signals without needing too much modification?

Surely, thats not too hard, is it? Does anyone know why Honda inflicted this odd-sized, underpowered sealed beam on us? Is it a standard bulb in Japan, or something?
