First introduced in 1981 the DR250 evolved from a SOHC two valve air cooled 17hp engine enduro through to a DOHC AIR/OIL cooled four valve 29hp machine by 1991.
It was always a popular choice with both novice and expert, giving enough performance to please the latter and not frighten the former.
Weighing just 118kg in its 1991 form it was light enough to be competent in off road enduro competition.
The model bearing the DR250 name is still produced today, now a very different, and hugely fast liquid cooled third generation enduro upholding Suzuki’s fine reputation for superb Dual Purpose and Full out Enduro machinery.
