i riding a 74 cl 450 Scrambler. this thing will blaze though the gears,i mean its got the get up and go im looking for. however, when the bike hits 70mph there is a major power loss? this is not good. i can pull over wait a few moments and take off as nothing happened. but, then i reach 65-70mph and boom again power loss. what in the world could this be?im puzzled. if it was ignition timing it would happen through out. an the same with fuel delivery? could it be plugs?

I think I may have the same problem. It has happened to me a few times before.

I have a feeling it may be that the bike is using up too much fuel, that the carb bowls actually start to run dry? Then when you take a break, they fill up again and everything is ok? My problem only occurs if I maintain a high speed for a long time (around 70-80 mph)
