Subject: Honda 360 variations

Hi All

I have a reasonably whipped 74 Honda Cb360.

Searching for parts I find there are CB360s (drum Brake)CB360 Gs (disk brake)

CJs, CTs and a confusing array of models.

My disk brake 74 CB360 does not have CB360G on the steering neck, but I don't beleive it has been modified.

Looking at replacemebt seats - the CJ series seems to be altogether different.

Is there an information resource that, at least defines the models, and wouldn't be wonderful if it listed parts intechangability.
Probably behond hope, but IPLs for models would help with parts (depite supercessions - most for replacement manufacturers.

Anyone been through this and understand my problem in restoring this CB360 (G) that was only made in 2 years to running shape.

The tires are age cracked, the mufflers have holes in them. The RF pipe has a hole in the underside (repairable?) the seat cover & foam is bad.

I have found a lot of parts, but I need information on 360 models

Thanks

Hi!Biggest question is must that seat be original? To find excaktly the same seat you have on it is practically impossible to find..check out the modelcode of your bike (the number inbetween the partcode of specific parts -149- eg...)Honda has made a lot of different bikes..

I have a 1976 CJ myself and from what I have learned about it, it is a cheapened version of the 360. Honda tried to make it less expensive so they could sell more.

No electric start ( and you can't add a starter due to engine case being different -hole to mount it is blocked out)
plastic front fender
no chrome rear fender (it is painted black)
seat is different due to it having a tail fairing
no center stand
frame and some other things like the headlight mount are different
2 into 1 exhaust
drum front brake
5 speed tranny instead of 6 speed
