Subject: Hello All

My name is John. My wife and I just bought a toy yesterday, a 1973 Honda CB350 in pretty decent working order. We've been riding for three years. I have a 2006 Triumph Daytona 675 as my primary ride, she has a 2001 Suzuki SV650 as hers. I have been taking in project bikes for the past few years so I could learn how to work on more classic bikes. I've had a 1985 Honda CB650SC and a 1985 Suzuki GS550EF as dead projects, both sold as happily running bikes. The CB350 is my first project that actually runs! We have plans to restore/cafe racer the bike over the next few months. I'm looking forward to doing more cosmetic work as opposed to primarily mechanical. I look forward to chatting with people over ideas, advice and over parts as we dig into our project. i'll post photos of the bike soon. We pick it up tonight!

Hi John and welcome to the forum!

Congrats on the new purchase and I hope you find some new ideas here.
I'm rather curious on the cafe racer. Did you already add it to a gallery?

Cheers!

Here are a few photos we took last night once we got it home. It runs like a dream. We removed the luggage rack and I immediately installed a battery tender attachment so we can protect that. I've read that these bikes need a little help with charging. The seat has a few rips in it. There is rust on a few parts but, overall, the bike is in god shape. It also just starts the first time you touch the start button and is a smooth ride. It needs some clean up maintenance, chain cleaning, oil change probably. I need to get a service manual for the bike so I do everything correctly. Any links to those for a CB350 twin? Here are a couple photos. I'll get a gallery up once I start playing with the bike more.

Hi John,

Well the bike looks in good state indeed.

If you need a manual, I'd query google for it. I found this link to a PDF document.
Not sure if this is the exact same bike, but it's a start emoticon

Here is another link to a similar honda document

Another option would be to purchase it through the official channels.
I hope you find this post useful.

Cheersss
