I baught an "unfinnished" project 1976 cb400f from a friend who kept it in a barn since the mid 90's (I suppose).

Now I opened up the head to lap the valves and saw that the hemispheres were quite corroded. Some have an accumulation of baked on crud. All of them seem to have scratches inside.

Has anyone ever seen this? Is it saveable?
