Hello
Help needed!I have a K1,which is just finished. If I stard the engine mostly cylinder one stays cold, after a short time of traveling it runs well!
Engine is overhauled, new pistonrings, chains, camshaft, polished valves and channels, new ignition system, new sparkplugs.
i adjusted the ignition a second time, changed spark plug of cylinder one, proofed the length of the spark, synchronized the caburators.
Carburators where cleaned, but I did not change the jets, may be this could cause the problems!!!
Is anybody out there who has an idea
Achim
it will be a poor spark which is not igniting the fuel,
take your plugs out one at a time, put the lead on the end and press the starter button IMPORTANT!, have the plug threads earthed to the engine, and only hold it by the plug cap - more beneficial to you if you wear some rubber gloves, earthing a spark wont kill you - if it does then i must be super human, for the amount of times its happened to me.
if it is a week spark then you can almost guarantee that under compression it wont even be firing, take the plug cap off and check for green, if there is any green keep cutting 1/4 inch off until you see nice copper.
i did this on all my plugs and noticed a healthy difference.
