Subject: top end noise and tuning

I just put a new top end in my 71 cb500. The bike runs good but makes noise on the top end of the motor. I took the rocker cover back off and inspected it for any problems, nothing looked wrong I then put it back together , torqued everything down and the noise is not there as much. Re adjusted the valves because the first time I must not of torqued them down right. The bike runs good but has some noise.
That is the first ?

The bikes timing is weird. I think tha the advance is wore out. When using a timing light , setting it at idle then setting at 2500 rpm the bike is guttless no power. When I place it where the bike has power, It runs better but doesn't seem right. It has electronic ignition in it.

Here are some other things it does. When you role the thottle on hard it boogs. Carbs or ignition.
carbs are rebuilt

Clutch is new but is really grabby when taking off??

The bike is preety nice, these are just the things that have me stumped
Please help.
Oh by the way my buddy has the same bike and it has some of the same problems like the booging and clutch. I also got to compare the to bike and mine is just as fast as his.
