HELP! 1977 honda cb500

I rencently saw a 1977 honda cb500 k four 1977. I contacted with the vendor and showed me the specs card of the bike. The problem is that while the frame/chassis of the bike is a cb500K the engine number is a cb550e. Does any one know a place where i can find all the honda cb500 models? i look at some sites but cant find a cb500 with frame number "cb500k" and also i cant find any cb500 with a cb550 engine. Thanks for any help.

The "E" denotes an engine serial number for parts purposes. Even my 72 CT 70 has an "E" in the serial. The frame is "CT70-200...." the engine is "CT70E-20...." So the fact that you have an E on the engine number is normal. rm rm
