I have had this bike for about 5 years....
(2) issues I would like some advice on...
(first) after about 2 wks of daily driving after winter storage, when going into first it would sputter and sometimes die...It has been really reliable, with great acceleration into 1st and second...
(second) The mechanic I have been going to for 5 years told my my kick start is at ZERO compression. He believes it somehow got out of it's (track) in the engine or it broke somehow inside...wants to open it up- told me there is a possiblity the transmition could sieze if it jumps more out of phase.... Any advice?
I am thinking this has nothing to do with the performance issue I orig brought it in for...
Anyone have a good mechanic in NYC?
I am considering have him open it up, but we did this last year...and they openned it, changed a 50$ part and closed it again. (Ridiculous...) If I do it this year, I want to change as many parts that could wear as possible.
The bike has 33,000 mi.
