Decided to finally restore this bike after it had been sitting in my back yard for 20 years. It was my first bike.

My main stand was removed prior to me getting it. I recently sourced another one but for the life of me I cannot work out how it should go on the bike. It is not clear from the parts manual or from the manual.

The manual talks about removing mounting bolts and in the small photo in the manual there would appear to be bolts on either side of the stand, but I can see no where to insert such bolts. Could my bike be missing something?

you might be missing the tube affair that goes through the stand and is clamped in those pinch bolts,,if that part hasnt been cut of the frame to lighten it.
