Subject: 1974 Honda CB 750 master cylinder rebuild

I have a 74 CB 750 K4. The front brake master cylinder seal failed and I need to take it apart to replace the piston and seals. This is about the only part on this 33 year old bike I have not replaced. I pulled (ripped) the worn rubber boot out since it was torn anyway. A small wire clip also came out. But the circlip is at the bottom of the housing where the piston enters the case. My circlip pliers only have points one inch long and this circlip is two inched down inside the housing. How do you get it out? I have an old ice pick that may work, but I will have to grind it to fit the clip. Any one ever figure out an easy way to get the master cylinder apart to rebuild? Thanks
