Subject: Looking for information on how to set Carbs on a 550

I have a 1976 Honda cb 550 engine that I have put on a "go-kat". I am having a problem with engine back firing at mid range throttle. (So far everone has told that I have either dirty carbs, or are set wrong).

There is an air bleed screw on the bottom of the carbs (Just in front of the bowl), can somebody tell what that screw is to set for on all four carbs, and or any other idea of why the engine only backfires at mid range under normal acceleration. (Iti does not do it when I hammer the throttle)

Thanks,

Punnice
