I have a 1971 CB350. The stock airbox has been removed and very porous metal screen pods put in their place. The bike has all the symptoms of running lean (surging, pinging, inconsistent idle, etc.). Since these are CV carbs, does it make sense to return to the stock air box to make the carbs work better. It's a big issue with 4 cylinder bikes with CVs, but I don't know about small twins.
