Launched in 1970, this five speed single cylinder machine with upright engine still sported Honda’s trademark overhead camshaft design, and because of it’s light weight of just 88kg, the11.5bhp machine gave little away to the more powerful twins from the same company, but cost a great deal less, and their relative simplicity endearing them to commuters as well as novice riders.
This model also spawned the CB125S and the now quite rare TL125 trials machine, and eventually ended up as a 185cc, and another Honda that has seen success in the British classic racing scene, in the sub 200cc four stroke class
