There are two good reasons to renew this spring: a) A new spring will ensure the centre stand does not flop and rattle against the chassis. b) A new bright zinc finish spring just looks so much better especially when renewing the other related springs, Side-stand spring, brake rod spring etc

    Backfire suggests to early ignition, you should check a manual, which is essential to work on this..

    I've set the points timing as I think they're supposed to be. No valves on this 2 stroke.
